This batch of tea waited a month and a half before finally arriving safely in Taiwan. Nowadays, fewer and fewer batches of Puerh teas are being imported. In the past a batch would arrive within three weeks, now, waiting feels long and distant.

This 20th Anniversary 300 g Raw Brick comes from a newly discovered, hidden tea area deep within the primeval ancient tea forests of Ailao Mountain. Three hundred kilograms were harvested last year and deliberately held until this year before being pressed.

Upon opening and tasting, the liquor already shows early transformation. It is dense and full-bodied, with rich aromas of ripe fruit layered with osmanthus fragrance. After swallowing, a wild honey sweetness lingers in the throat, deeply pleasing and refined.

Originally exclusive to our Taiwanese clients, we are now able to offer a limited quantity to our international tea friends. For this release, Mr. Chen gave the tea a distinctly Taiwanese name, 鬥陣欸, which may be translated as In Good Company. The name reflects the collective, communal spirit at the heart of Taiwanese tea culture.
