“I loved Yiwu teas, but since villages within Yiwu started dwarfing their trees, I made less from Yiwu.
That being said, within the past few years, I made some teas from national protected forests within Yiwu and recently found this amazing Zhangjiawan ancient tea garden.
I rediscovered the original taste of Yiwu.
The tea soup has notes of light plum with a later cooling, capturing the uniqueness of Yiwu area teas.
The tea’s growing environment dictates the experience in the cup.
While gushu tea is popular, we should protect the gardens and surrounding forests to keep the price and quality at match.”
