"This year, Xizihao produced more teas from national protected forests than the previous year. In addition to the saying from the Tea Sutra “primitive forest is first quality, garden is second,” national protected forests have the most amount of unmanaged tea growing environments. At many ancient tea gardens, in hope for easier access and larger harvests, ancient tea trees were dwarfed and pesticides were used, damaging their original character - which really is a shame. 

This tea has a full and refined character with notes of complex forest honey and a unique attribute of golden colored buds.(most fresh teas have white buds) The pressing was done well and the leaf structure is visible. With such strong and vibrant cha-qi, this tea is truly something special!"
